CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAMME (ANTARJAN)

Inner Space Consultants offer career guidance to youngsters. Inner Space is a part of NAHRS that has been working in the field of Organizational Development for five years.

The objective behind this programme is to help students identify their potential and choose careers from which they can derive satisfaction and enjoyment.

During our long association with the Corporate world, we have repeatedly come across numerous professionals who regretted their initial choice of career. This made us seek answers to the question: How should children go about making career choices so that they end up as satisfied, successful and happy professionals in future?

After elaborate research and deliberations, we designed an exhaustive process that not just identifies the interests, personality, values and aptitudes of a child but also systematically matches it with the requirements and desirables of over a hundred available careers. Our wide-ranging experience in HR Consulting facilitates the process. We also direct our efforts at identifying the developmental needs of the child and thereafter advise a developmental plan. In our whole design phase, we were constantly mindful of the fact that each child is unique and so we have directed our efforts at offering personalized results and developmental plans.

A very important feature of our approach is that we include the parents in the process. We are completely aware that the parents have a crucial role to play in directing the child to a successful future and so we just help them choose the best opportunity for their child.

More specifically, our process involves the following steps:

  • Meeting the child and measuring his/her interests, personality, aptitude and values with the help of standard psychological tests. This will take nearly four hours with the child.
  • Meeting the child for a second time in one-two days of interactive sessions.
  • Integrating the results of psychological tests as well as the observations made during the developmental sessions and making the child’s personality profile thereafter.
  • Meeting the child for a third time in the feedback session and discussing the results of the whole exercise and his/her developmental needs. Thereafter, forming an action plan along with the child, for pursuing a career.
  • Matching the child’s individual profile with job characteristics and making a list of careers in which he/she can be successful.
Giving the final feedback to the child with a personalized developmental plan sheet.

* The process is personalized to suit the requirements of requesting schools.
